Entry-Level User Support Specialist | Space Sector
Join our client’s international team in Rome (Anagnina Area), supporting user support, data access, and account management activities within programmes linked to European institutions and the space sector.
Our client is a trusted leader in Space Services, with a proud history spanning over 55 years and a track record of supporting more than 50 space missions for world-renowned agencies such as ESA and NASA. Their expertise covers the entire space lifecycle - from satellite testing and launch services to spacecraft operations, space surveillance, and data management - making them a key partner in advancing national strategies and driving innovation in the New Space era.
We are looking for a proactive, customer-oriented, and early-career User Support Specialist with excellent written English, strong communication skills, curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn and grow within a structured, multicultural, and international environment.
This role is particularly suitable for fresh graduates or entry-level candidates. Previous experience is not mandatory, as the ticketing system and service processes can be learned on the job. What matters most is a strong customer mindset, genuine motivation, fluent English level and the willingness to invest in continuous learning over time.
For this role, relocation to Rome is mandatory for candidates living far from the area, unless they are able to commute regularly.
A B2 level of English is mandatory, while C1 is strongly preferred.
YOUR TASKS
In this role, you will support first-level user activities and the operations of data access and user management, acting as a first interface for users and helping ensure accurate handling of requests and consistency across tools and processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
First-Level Activities
- Acting as the first interface to users.
- Managing email distribution in MS Outlook and through the ticketing system.
- Routing, assigning, and tracing requests in the ticketing system.
Data Access Management Support
- Supporting user profiling verification and moderation, applying different policies.
- Handling data access requests involving manual intervention and ensuring approvals are completed within the expected timeline.
- Implementing data access rights for new missions according to applicable directives.
- Handling new project proposals, including user notification and project registration.
- Supporting quota allocation, account generation, and provision of access details for datasets with restrictions.
User Account Management Support
- Supporting users’ account enquiries, providing dedicated information and instructions.
- Keeping users’ personal information up to date and consistent.
- Supporting lock/unlock and activate/deactivate activities for SSO accounts.
- Helping troubleshoot incompatibilities between tools, ensuring data consistency and keeping relevant databases aligned.
Documentation & Reporting
- Supporting the collection of official documents and procedures.
- Contributing to weekly and monthly reports.
- Creating and maintaining internal working instructions.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong customer orientation and a genuine motivation to support users.
- Excellent written English and strong overall communication skills.
- B2 English minimum; C1 preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work in a structured environment and adapt to an already well-established team.
- Good knowledge of the MS Office suite and common office tools.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ticketing tools is considered an asset.
- Willingness to learn, grow, and invest in continuous learning.
- Ability to understand and manage processes, priorities, and requests linked to KPIs and timelines.
- A proactive mindset, curiosity and a genuine interest in the role.
- Strong interest in Space / Earth Observation / IT sector is considered a plus.
EXTRA INFORMATION
Location: Rome (Anagnina Area), Italy
Work mode: Hybrid - 2 working days per week in the office and the rest from home
Start date: 02/05/2026 at the latest
Contract: Fixed-term contract until 30/04/2027, with the possibility of a permanent contract based on future opportunities
Relocation: Required for candidates living far from Rome, unless they can commute regularly
